Conventional / Manual Machinist

Position Overview:

The Conventional / Manual Machinist position is a full-time, permanent role located in Bathurst, NB. This individual will be working exclusively with manual equipment—no CNC work. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical documents and performing precise machining and measurement tasks to meet strict mechanical tolerances for repair and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

• Determining appropriate machining and repair procedures for various components

• Setting up and operating manual lathes, milling machines, and related conventional equipment

• Performing precise mechanical measurements to verify component tolerances and ensure quality control

• Contributing to a safe, positive, and professional team environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of machining experience (apprentices will be considered)

• Strong proficiency in setting up and operating manual lathes, milling machines, and related equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive, professional attitude
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Possess a clean driving record

Required Work Eligibility: Candidates must hold one of the following:

• Canadian citizenship

• Permanent Resident status

• Open Work Permit Closed or employer-specific work permits cannot be accepted for this position
