The Rogers Electric Motor Management System is a web-based application exclusive to Rogers Electric. The application was designed through a collaborative process involving our staff and one of Canada’s leading IT firms. By using a bottom-up approach to creating our Motor Management System, we were successful in creating a tool that has made both Rogers Electric and our clients more competitive.
The MMS stores all of our cost drivers and formulas used in creating quotes for our clients. As a result our MMS allows our staff to create quotations on work orders quickly and consistently, as our cost data is standardized and readily available.
Through our Lean process, we have made sure that the cost drivers stored in our MMS are as accurate as possible and as a result, we and our clients can be sure that we are providing the most reasonable and competitive rates.
Another key feature of our MMS is its ability to chronicle the service history of electric motors that have gone through our shop. The MMS will track failure causes and will also store all diagnostic and testing data. This data allows us to do more than just repair an electric motor; it allows us to investigate and determine the root cause of why the motor failed and what can be done to prevent it from happening again.
At every stage of our service process, our technicians take digital photos of the equipment being serviced and post them in real-time to our MMS. These photos allow us to show our clients exactly what has happened with their electric motors.
To provide value to our clients, we grant full access to all of their respective service data through a secured login on our website. Clients can access the service history of any of their electric motors or can view the progress of equipment currently being serviced.
